Wealth Services
Holistic Solutions, All Under One Roof
Most people come to us with parts of a financial plan already in place—some investments here, a life insurance policy there, maybe an old 401(k) they haven't touched in years. What they're missing is a coordinated strategy. We offer a full range of wealth planning and management services under one roof, and we connect them deliberately, so nothing falls through the cracks.
Questions We Hear Before The First Meeting
The most common starting point is a comprehensive financial planning conversation, which gives us a clear picture of where you are, where you're headed, and which services are most relevant to your situation right now. From there, we build the relationship over time, layering in additional planning as your life and needs evolve. Some clients work with us primarily on investment management and retirement income. Others bring us in specifically for long-term care planning or business succession. The entry point is less important than getting started. We'll figure out the right scope together in the first conversation.
The most meaningful difference is the nature of the relationship and the way planning actually gets done. At a large institution, you're often working with whoever is available, following a standardized process, and receiving recommendations that may be shaped by what the firm sells rather than what's best for you. At Atkins Financial Group, you have a dedicated team that knows your name, your family, and your full financial picture.
We follow the CFP® professional planning process, which means we start by getting to know you. From there, we take a full inventory of where you stand today. We then build a written plan that addresses your specific priorities and we present it to you in a way you can understand. Once the plan is in place, we meet quarterly to review it, make adjustments as your life changes, and make sure it's still doing what it was designed to do.
Yes, this is one of the most common situations we encounter with new clients. Many people come to us because they rarely hear from their advisor and aren't sure their plan still makes sense for where they are today. We're happy to take a look at what you currently have in place, give you an honest assessment, and let you decide from there whether a change makes sense. We don't believe in switching for switching's sake, but we do believe that if your advisor isn't meeting with you regularly, staying current with your life, and actively managing your plan, you deserve to know what that's costing you in the long run.
Our fee structure varies based on the services involved: financial planning may be structured as a flat fee or retainer, while investment management is typically based on a percentage of assets under management. We're not the cheapest option in the market, and we don't try to be. We're focused on delivering the highest level of service and the most attentive planning relationship we can offer, and our fees reflect that. We'll walk you through our fee structure clearly in our first meeting so there are no surprises.
